I would just like everyone to hear me out before I get a flood of insults tonight.
The reason I’m so pissed off about Green Day Rock Band is because it’s insane how something as simple as this game can change people. Many Green Day fans I know from my school have not attended school this week because they’re “too busy playing the game.” They’re really good students too, well not anymore. I knew that the idea for this game would be a disaster from day one. And I still believe that today. A lot of people are becoming obsessive over the game. It’s sickening. That is why I have unfollowed some of you. I’ll refollow when this hype has died down, or once the situation (that I will explain in two seconds) gets resolved.
I would also like to say that not all of us will EVER be capable of owning this game. For my reason, it’s because every time I ask to get a Wii and the game, I earn some sort of punishment and a speech. I am also given the option to 1) not celebrate my birthday, 2) go on vacation, 3) get my permit/license, 4) go to driving school, and 5) leave the house, all because I just want the chance to own the game and an updated gaming system. So here I am, sitting locked in the van waiting for a safe time to come inside because I was screamed at in Walmart today. So it’s not really comforting to come home and see, “I JUST BEAT THIS LEVEL OF GD RB!” and “OMG I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS FOR X HOURS!”
Just be considerate, that’s all I’m asking.
